With a humble beginning offering one product in one state, to our current national reach with an array of personal, commercial and specialty products - Arrowhead wants you to GROW with us.
1983 -
Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. was established in 1983 and acquired by Pat Kilkenny in 1984. The company offered one product, non-standard auto in California.
1980s -
Arrowhead focused on its Non-Standard Auto Program throughout California making it one of the most successful and fastest growing general agencies in the state.
1995 -
The Personal Division expanded from Non-Standard Auto to also include a California Homeowners Program. This growth was possible because of a market dislocation due to the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. Finding niche markets became an Arrowhead trademark
1997 -
Following the Montrose Chemical Corporation cleanup court case in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles, Arrowhead found another niche program and began writing Commercial business with Specialty Contractors and Commercial Auto Programs.
1998 -
The Commercial Earthquake Program was created offering its Difference in Conditions and All Risk Property products.
2000 -
The Personal Division expanded with the Residential Earthquake program. Later that same year, the Public Risk Program was created to offer products covering public entities and municipalities.
2001 -
Arrowhead Exchange, our secure online portal where producers can receive quotes, bind and submit new business and service existing policies, was launched.
2002 -
The Commercial Division introduced its Surety Program for contractors, developers and small businesses.
2002 -
The Architects and Engineers Liability Program was created.
2004 -
The Personal Division acquired its Personal Motorcycle Program.
2005 -
Cypress Point's Workers' Compensation Program was acquired to create the new Workers' Compensation Program with Arrowhead.
2006 -
Arrowhead announced its recapitalization with Spectrum Equity Investors.
2007 -
Arrowhead acquired its Professional Liability Program.
2008 -
Cypress Point-Arrowhead and Arrowhead completed its merger, which finalized its Workers' Compensation Program joining the Arrowhead Commercial Division.
