With the big Christmas holiday only a few days away, we wanted to pass along some helpful safety tips for those of us that love to deck the halls with boughs of holly, candles and lights. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA), the holidays are peak time for home fires involving Christmas trees and holiday lighting. Their data estimates that there are an average of 240 home fires involving Christmas trees and another 150 home fires involving holiday lights and other decorative lighting occur each year.
